HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO EVERY #1 DAD ON THE PLANET

“Best Dad Ever” isn’t reserved for one person. It belongs to every father who shows up, every single day.

Happy Father’s Day to every dad out there putting in the work. The protectors. The teachers. The providers. The men quietly sacrificing, building, and grinding every day so that the people they love can have a better life than they did. You don’t always get the credit. You don’t always get the flowers. But what you give to your children — your time, your lessons, your example — that lasts forever.

They say give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. That’s fatherhood in a nutshell. The greatest gift a father can give his children isn’t money or things — it’s knowledge, values, and the example of what it looks like to be a good human being.

“Best Dad Ever” is not reserved for any one person. Every child only has one dad — and you are the best father to them as long as you try.”

TO MY LATE FATHER

My father passed when I was 15 years old. He was 42. He barely had the chance to teach me how to drive.

He is the greatest man I have ever known. He touched countless people with his kindness and was loved deeply by everyone around him — friends, family, and people I would meet years later who would stop me just to tell me they knew my dad and what he meant to them. That never gets old. And it never stops hitting hard.

There are lessons he never got the chance to pass down to me. Things I had to figure out on my own, or learn from other good men in my family who stepped up. There have been countless moments in my life where I have stopped and asked myself — what would he have said here? What would he have done? I still ask that question. I probably always will.

But here is what I know: in the short time we had together — through his example as a father, as a husband, as a friend — he passed down the one lesson that matters above all others. He taught me what it means to be a good man. And everything I have built since, everything I am trying to be for my own children, traces directly back to him.

TO MY CHILDREN

I write this because I want to leave something behind. Not just for my son and my daughter, but for every child growing up alongside them who will one day inherit everything we leave behind — the good and the bad.

My greatest fear is dying a young father. Dying before I get the chance to pass down everything a father is supposed to pass down. To miss the milestones, the hard conversations, the quiet moments that shape a child — that would be a tragedy. But if I can leave this world knowing I gave my children the knowledge and the values they need to live good, happy, and successful lives — then I can die at peace.

I don’t want to simply give my children everything. That would be doing them a disservice. A child given everything without having to earn it grows up spoiled, undisciplined, and unprepared for the real world. What I want to give them is something far more valuable — the tools. The knowledge, the work ethic, the values, and the character to go out and build a great life for themselves. So that even when I am gone, they can figure it out. They won’t need me to hand them the answer — because I will have already taught them how to find it.

To my son: I want to show you by example what it looks like to be a good man, a loyal husband, and a dedicated father. Not just tell you — show you. Every day.

To my daughter: I want to set the standard. I want you to see how a man is supposed to treat a woman — with loyalty, with respect, with protection and honor — so that when the time comes, you will never settle for anything less.

TO THE MEN WHO SHOWED ME THE WAY

To every man in my family and in my life who stepped up and led by example — thank you. The ones who showed me what discipline looks like. What it means to build something. What it looks like to put your family first and make life easier for the people around you. You may not have known the impact you were having. But I was taking notes. And it made a difference.

WHY FATHERHOOD MATTERS MORE THAN EVER

This isn’t just personal. The data is clear and the stakes are real.

Children raised without a dedicated father figure in the home face dramatically worse outcomes across nearly every measurable category — higher rates of incarceration, lower educational attainment, higher rates of poverty, substance abuse, and broken relationships. This is not about blame. It is about acknowledging a hard truth that our society has spent decades dancing around.

The nuclear family — with a mother and a father both present and committed — is not an outdated concept. It is the single most proven structure for raising healthy, successful, and well-adjusted human beings. A father as a leader, a protector, and a teacher in the home is not toxic or oppressive — it is essential. And the slow erosion of that model is something we are all paying for as a society whether we admit it or not.

Bringing that back — not by force, not by shame, but by example — is one of the most important things we can do for the long-term health and survival of our civilization. It starts with every dad who decides to show up. Every single day. No excuses.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY

To every dad out there doing the work — seen and unseen — thank you. Your sacrifices matter. Your presence matters. Your example matters more than you will ever know.

And to my father — thank you for the short time we had. The lessons you left behind have driven me every day to be the best father, husband, and man that I can be. I carry you with me in everything I do.

Happy Father’s Day. Go hug your kids. 🙏
