Disclosure & Conflicts of Interest Policy

Baynesworld.com

Our Commitment to Transparency

At BaynesWorld we believe transparency is the foundation of trustworthy journalism. When we write about financial markets, individual stocks, cryptocurrencies, or investment-related topics, our readers deserve to know whether our editorial team holds personal positions in the assets we cover. This page exists to make that information permanently accessible and clearly stated.

Nothing published on Baynes World constitutes financial advice. All financial content is for informational and educational purposes only. Always consult a licensed financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

How This Site Makes Money

BaynesWorld is reader-supported independent media. Our revenue comes from the following sources:

Membership subscriptions — Readers can become paying members at three tiers (Reader, Insider, Patron). Membership revenue funds editorial operations. Members do not receive preferential editorial treatment and have no influence over what we cover or how we cover it.

Merchandise sales — We sell branded apparel and accessories through our store at baynesworld.com/store. Products are fulfilled by a third-party print-on-demand partner. Merchandise revenue supplements editorial income.

Crypto donations — We accept voluntary cryptocurrency tips at wallet addresses listed on our Crypto page. These are one-time voluntary contributions with no editorial strings attached.

No advertising — BaynesWorld does not currently run display advertising, sponsored content, or branded partnerships. If this ever changes, it will be disclosed on this page before any sponsored content is published.

No affiliate revenue — We do not currently earn affiliate commissions from links on this site. If we add affiliate relationships in the future, those links will be clearly marked and this policy updated.

Editorial Bias Disclosure

The founder and editor, Roe Baynes, self-identifies as right-leaning. This bias is disclosed prominently on the About page and in the Impartiality Pledge, published at baynesworld.com/impartiality-pledge. Our editorial process is specifically designed to account for this bias — most coverage involves actively presenting the strongest case for the opposing viewpoint. For full details, see the Impartiality Pledge.

How We Handle Conflicts of Interest

When Baynes World publishes content covering any asset in which the author holds a personal position, the following standards apply:

Inline disclosure — Every article covering an asset in which the author holds a position will include a disclosure statement at both the top and bottom of the article clearly stating the nature of the position.

No pump and dump — BaynesWorld will never publish content designed to artificially inflate the price of an asset the author holds. Our financial coverage is based on publicly available information, verified news sources, and factual reporting.

No timed publication — We will never time the publication of financial content to coincide with personal buying or selling activity in the covered asset.

Separation of news and opinion — Factual news reporting and personal opinion are clearly labeled throughout this site. In financial coverage, personal opinion sections will always be identified as such and accompanied by disclosure of any relevant holdings.

No financial advice — No content on Baynes World should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, cryptocurrency, or financial instrument. We are journalists and commentators, not licensed financial advisors.
